![]() I then did the built in Dell diagnostic testing. ![]() If I choose "Safe mode with/without networking", it appears to be loading files but then it restarts just the same. If I choose "last know configuration", it reboots and again, comes back to the windows error recovery screen. ![]() If I choose "start normally", it reboots and comes back to the windows error recovery screen. Typed my password, then the welcome message would take longer than usual, then go to this black screen with a cursor. ![]() Initially, I was able to go to the logon screen. When I boot, I get a "Windows Error Recovery" screen with options to "Repair your computer" or start normally, last known config, etc. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium (Upgrade) on a Dell Dimension E520 (upgraded to 3GB RAM). ![]() I surfed here and came across someone with the exact same issue as mine.but it was not full resolved.
